     Chaplin relies heavily on volunteer Groups and Organizations. Many of the events and facilities in Chaplin would not exist without the efforts of the individuals in each group. Please take the time to check out the different groups and organizations that support Chaplin, and if you haven't joined one already, remember they are always looking for new members!

 

Chaplin Community Growth Initiative

The CCGI is a group of volunteers whose main goal is to develop and improve the Chaplin Community. The CCGI has worked on economic development projects as well as been a part of efforts to keep Chaplin School open. The main goals of the CCGI are to attract businesses and residents, as well as support those (businesses and residents) already a part of the Chaplin area. President of the CCGI is Doug Wilson.

Chaplin First Ladies

The Chaplin First Ladies Club was founded when some local ladies met to discuss organizing a social group of women from the Chaplin area. The CFL was officially formed in June of 2001. The Chaplin First Ladies are an active group in our community, and since forming have organized numerous events, and been able to provide necessary funding to other facilities in Chaplin.

Civic Center

The Civic Center Board is responsible for the operation of the Chaplin Civic Center. More commonly referred to as The Rink, it is operated through community and board support. The Rink Board is also a group of volunteers, and through fundraising and group effort, the rink continues to open every year! Dave Schmitz is the president of the Rink Board.

Swimming Pool

The Chaplin Swimming Pool is operated through the efforts of the Swimming Pool Board, and the support of the community. The board is a group of volunteers dedicated to keeping the pool up and running. The Swimming Pool Board is responsible for fundraising, hiring/managing staff, and maintaining the pool itself. For more information about the Swimming Pool Board president is currently Shelly Anton.

Volunteer Fire Department

The Chaplin Volunteer Fire Department meets regularly once a month. To report a fire please call 9-1-1. For inquiries please phone the Village Office at 395-2221.

Chaplin Tourism Committee Inc. -  The Chaplin Tourism Committee is a non profit organization made up of 10-12 volunteer members who are responsible for the operations of the Chaplin Nature Centre. The Nature Center is owned by the community and is funded solely through fundraising, retail sales, tours and grants. Clem Millar is the current president.
